ABOUT US
When the Club first began, in 1989, we started with two youth sides and were known as Burridge Youth F.C., changing the name to Burridge AFC one year later when we entered into adult football.

The Club gradually started to prosper over the years and we eventually found ourselves with teams in most of the junior age groups and two adult sides. In the early nineties, the decision was made to split the youth and adult football and fortunately we have gone from strength to strength, whereas the original junior club eventually wound-up. The team that was playing on a Saturday, known as Burridge Sports, requested to come and join us under the name of Burridge AFC, which was the time when we started playing on both Saturdays and Sundays, eventually ending up with six teams - five adults and one youth. However at the present time we now have four adult sides, playing in the Drew Smith Southampton Saturday League, Gosport & Fareham Football League and the Meon Valley Football League.

Every Wednesday evening, we have a team that plays in the Pitch Invasion League, Premier Division. This team has been very successful and have been league champions on at least seven occasions.

The pavilion which is situated in the top field at Burridge was built with the aid of a grant for £5000.00 obtained by our Football Club, along with the other grants and loans obtained by the Burridge Social & Sports Club who are the owners of the pavilion and adjoining ground. Our Club actually lease a football pitch from the Social Club which we are endeavouring to develop to a high standard. We also play on the council pitch which is adjacent to the Social Club and on other Fareham Council pitches in the area.

On New Years Eve 2004 at a party in The Talisman Pub Sandra, Barrie and some Burridge Players decided that a Fund Raising event would take place to aid the Poor Victims of the TSUNAMI Disaster which happened on Boxing Day 2004.
In the New Year 2005 a fun day, tea time auction and a social evening was organized.
The fun day was a great success with Football Matches and Cross Bar Challenge creating loads of Fun,
The Auction which was orchestrated by Dave Prutton consisted of Match Worn Signed Football Clothing donated by Southampton and Portsmouth players, The younger members of the Becheley Family Richard and Simon spent hours begging for items of clothing outside both clubs Training Grounds.
The Social Evening Which included a Local Live Band called Fortunate Son who gave there services Free was also a brilliant success which was enjoyed by all, Dave Prutton who help with the event all day could be seen sweeping and clearing up the hall at the end of the evening, (Thanks to Prutts)
At the end of fund raising the money was counted and to everyone's amazement we had raised a staggering £4,400-00, this was handed over to the Daily Echo Tsunami Appeal which was run in conjunction with The Southampton Churches Tsunami Appeal, This Presentation attracted a great deal of Publicity within the Local Press and Radio which did nothing but good for Local Parks Football.
In 2006 we won the HANTS CUP (Sunday "B" Cup) which is our greatest achievement in cup competitions so far, for other honours please see the Honours Page.
In 2009 our Sunday Morning side switches leagues from The Gosport & Fareham FL to The City of Southampton Sunday FL.
